Labels (also called “tags”) are a convenient way to organize the content you’ve saved in your Omnivore Library. You can:
-
Add labels to any saved item.
-
Filter and search using labels.
Add labels to any saved item.
-
Access the Labels menu.
-
From the Library, tap the Menu icon next to any link (in the Omnivore app for iOS or Android, long-press on the link to view the menu).
-
While reading an article, tap the Labels icon on the left or top of the screen, depending on the width of your viewing window.
-
-
Select an existing label from the list or tap Edit Labels to create or modify a label.
-
Note: Omnivore will automatically assign some labels, such as “Newsletters.”
Filter and search using labels
-
In your Library, the labels you have applied will appear next to saved links. Tap any label to filter your Library and view only links tagged with that label.
-
Omnivore mobile app only: tap Labels to see a complete list of all labels you have used; tap one to view all links with the same label.
-
When conducting a keyword or advanced search, the label command will limit the results to labeled items. For example, including label:recipes in a search term will return matching items that have been labeled as recipes.
-
You can use multiple labels to further refine your search, using advanced syntax to indicate AND, OR, or NOT. For example:
-
label:Cooking,Fitness finds all saved pages with the Cooking or Fitness label
-
label:Newsletter label:Surfing finds all saved pages with both the Newsletter and Surfing labels
-
label:Coding -label:News finds all saved pages with the Coding label that do not have the News label
