Omnivore is running a hackathon to research and build AI powered tools for readers

Next week, Omnivore is running a hackathon to explore AI powered reading tools. Starting on March 27th, our plan is to perform research and test the feasibility of using AI within Omnivore to enhance user’s reading experience. If we discover anything great, we will build it into future releases.

How you can participate

We want our hackathon to be open and community driven. All contributions, whether it is an idea for an AI powered feature, or feedback on one of our demos, are valued input.

We’d love some of the ideas we explore to be community contributed. If you have any ideas for enhancing reading via AI, please join our Discord and let us know about it, no matter how weird. We’ve started an #ai-hackathon channel, where we will discuss ideas and perform demos.

Our plan is to share what we are building and what we are learning. Throughout the week in Discord we will post demos of things we’ve built and interesting articles we are reading about building AI powered features.
